Knight Healthcare - officially live and running

Just wanted to let everyone here know that my business : Knight Healthcare is now up and running from my office in Leeds.

I am advising individuals and companies on all aspects of private medical insurance and related healthcare and protection insurances. The business is as you would expect fully FSA (Financial Services Authority) regulated.

If you are interested in speaking to me about your cover for either existing plans you have in place (which I can review and potentially upgrade, improve or find for a lower cost for you) or to source brand new cover for you. If you have cover in place which hasn't been reviewed in the last two or three places then now might be the time as the health insurance sector has changed in the last couple of years and some older plans are now overpriced and outdated.

I am independent and work with all the UK health insurers (the likes of BUPA, AXA PPP, Aviva, Simply Health, PruHealth etc), the services I offer are free to the client as I am paid soley through commissions from the insurers once a client takes up my recommendations. Specializing in private medical insurance (PMI) I'm able to obtain deals and prices which aren't available to Independent Financial Advisors and Accountants so I'm pretty confident some of the options I can suggest might be really advantageous in the current economic climate. If you’ve bought cover through a general broker, IFA, Accountant or direct from a single insurer I should be able to offer better terms and certainly a more focused and knowledgable on-going level of service.

Lastly, I can work with self employed and small corporate clients and in particular for Flying Startups I wanted to mention that private medical cover and income protection are really very important for small business owners - just as an example. Within the Leeds Primary Care Trust, although 90.77% of patients are seen by a specialist within 18 weeks of referral by their GP (18 weeks is the government target for this referral) but more than half of these patients waited over 10 weeks for their consultants appointment (50% in general surgery and 59% overall)never mind the wait that follows for the actual procedure itself !!! - if you're self employed or running a busy small business could you afford to be laid up for over ten weeks waiting for a hernia op or a knee replacement - a good private medical scheme (costing maybe £1500 or £2000 a year for three employees) will literally pay for itself the first time you need to make a claim. It’s also far cheaper to buy cover on a company basis than as individuals so if you’re paying for cover as an individual I can also look to switch you with no additional underwriting to a much cheaper group scheme (around 40% cheaper if we can get two employees onto cover)
