Week 1: Starting Up
A new decade, a new start...
I've been inspired by my partner to join flyingstartups.co.uk and take a serious look at starting up in business by myself.
I always disliked the thought of having to work for someone else and, having been made redundant twice within the last 13 months, I've been encouraged to take a firm grasp of my own destiny and look into the possibilities of having a business of my own. This is especailly important for me as I have always felt that I've never achieved my potential in life and have always lived a 'hand-to-mouth' existence - I'm tired of this and want to prove to myself (and others) that I really do have what it takes to be a success in life.
To begin with, I've registered as a new user on this website and found all the software that I need (thank goodness for Open Source - it has saved me a fortune!) I've also located my local Business Link service and set up a makeshift office on the dining room table. All I need now is a fresh mug of coffee, and I'm ready to go!
