I have now completed week one, so now have a nice organised office. The question is, do you know you have your own business, when you are thinking about it a lot an ideas are coming into your head at the strangest moments ? I now know what the notebooks are for!! read more »

FINALLY UP AND RUNNING

following on from my log Happy reading, a couple of weeks ago. I am pleased to report that funding for a Support Worker has finally been approved, I have now got a Support Worker in Place who is going to start in early June. One of the positives I have discovered about having a support worker is that I am finding it a lot easier to say on task, and do not feel as isolated as I might have done if I were on my own, as I am working from home, at least to begin with, until I start to grow. read more »

Hi I have had an atempt at writing the one page pitch of my idea:

I will develop a company offering a variety of personal development and training opportunities to young people aged 16- 30. The training will be offered in short taster courses or accredited courses, where the participants can gain a qualification through the open college network. I will also offer one to one personal development and life coaching sessions if required. read more »

getting there

Hi it has been an intresting and exciting week this week. Trying to get used to the fact that I am leaving one job and going to another, so that I will have time for myself and to look at my ideas for a training company.

I have started taking a small notebook around in my bag, and making note of anyone I speak to who may wnat some training delivered. I am also making a note of all the contacts in my current job who could be approached when I am ready to start selling big time. I have come up with ten so far and still going strong. read more »

Hi everyone I am still in the thinking stage of my idea and have posted on the forum to get some feedback. However the big news is thatI have got myself another job which is part time to allow me to have time to work on my business idea. I decided if I did not get this other job I would shelf my idea for a while. Please have a look at my forum entry in business idea" feedback, good bad and ugly please as I am very nervous but excited at the prospect of working for myself. Any feedback welcome
