Taking time out for a re-think

I find that I need to do this occassionally just to go over my business plan and check that I'm headed where I should be. It's so easy to go off track and get so far along it before realising I'm not meant to be there.

So, I'm just chillin' for a week or so. Giving myself a creative break before the Christmas enquiries start coming in.

The workshop has been revamped and it makes such a difference to work in a more organised space... love it!

Planning way ahead

I've just had a couple of 'lazy' weeks as my workshop is having a facelift... nearly finished now, so I'll be able to move back in and start clearing the sawdust ready for the christmas season and beyond...

Lovin' what I do

Having a really good week! Word is spreading locally about the business and I'm pleasantly surprised at the volume of enquiries coming in.

just got back off another great course... keeping my skills up to date means that I can give clients more options, which is fantastic!

Still lovin' what I do and I get to meet so many great people while I'm doing it. What more could I ask?

Too Busy!

So... I've taken a few days off - just to get everything inperspective + I was doing so much at once, I wore myself out - Well, thats my excuse anyway. I need to pace myself. I had a good a week though as I was asked to make some leather bags for a local gallery and I also became a member of Design GAP.

Paperwork!

Working through my to-do list slowly whilst designing a new range of leather handbags for the summer. Have done some planting in the workshop garden this week while the sun shone...lovely!

Thanks!

Thanks to those you of you who took a peek at my new website.... Please let me know what you thought? Feedback from others is so important don't you think?

I've been really busy this week, painting the workshop and getting the place ready so I can get photos taken for the brochures I'm preparing for next years tourist season. I hope to get lots of enthusiastic family groups etc for leatherworking workshops. So far the response I've had from local youth groups has been fantastic, so fingers crossed...

Up and Running!

Finally, after three years my business is up and running! The website is live, the brochures and business cards are printed and I've even had a couple of sales this month. I've still got loads of 'planning application' paperwork to plough through as I want to be running leather training workshops from the building next year. So, if anyone has any experience or advice in this area, I would most definately appreciate it!?
