Okay, okay, okay. I might as well be, as I have not shown my face round these parts for such a long time. Honestly, it is no way to act, is it? It's impolite and careless.

Yup. As per usual, I will begin my pilot's blog with an apology. If it were a friend or a lover, it would have long since left me as I have been ignoring it something dreadful.

Okay, so I admit it, I was not calm, cool, or sporting the British nonchalance that seems to be the way of things on this island. I was loud (can you blame me?!

Eons. Ages. It's been forever since I had a play on this website. I feel ashamed that I haven't logged on in what seems like months. What can I say, I have just undergone a major uphevel.

The title says it all.
My products are now selling at this sweet little shop in St Albans. Shimto, the sweet little shop, is located across from the cathedral (after you go down the road with the crooked Oak tree, next to the farm with the broken shutter...just kidding). Anyway, I am ecstatic. Shimto sells designer clothes which makes me very happy as I think I will be reaching the clientele I have been aiming for. Hurrah, again.

I have recently had several thousand (oh yes...I mean thousands) leaflets printed to use for a marketing strategy that a friend suggested I try. As you can imagine, I spent lots of money on this lot of leaflets and avenues of distribution. I am sad (depressed, horrified, annoyed) to report that this was a very crappy way to spend money. It was a plan to try to drive more traffic to my website and it seems that it has gone terribly wrong. My website hits have not increased beyond their usual daily number and this makes my heart just a little bit sad.

I am ashamed to admit this, but after a year of planning then a year of trading, I had not been to one single networking event until today. Scaredy cat me. To be honest, when I first arrived and somebody very specifically asked "So, why are you here?" I just wanted to blurt out "I'm not even sure!" then run out of the restaurant. However, it was a yummy Italian restaurant and they were serving wine, so, really, I thought it best to stay. After 20 minutes of chatting and milling around, I started to have a bit of fun and relaxed enough to enjoy the conversation (thanks to the vino, no doubt!)

I feel like I have been MIA for quite some time now. Thought it only proper to give a tiny update on the latest developments of Gee How Quaint and my life as it tries to comfortably fit around it.
Right oh, on the personal side of things, I have found a part time job that is practically perfect in everyway. Honestly, I can't even tell you how jazzed I am about this development. It was a gutting realisation to find out that I needed a bit of cash on the side (mostly due to house renovations), so it was off to interviews and all the fun that entails. I did strike it lucky, as I now work two days a week for a huge, gigantic travel company. And oh yes, I have been cheeky enough to list my business on the email bulletin board. I think that was a slick move, as my site received three times the amount of hits from that simple action. Because most of the staff travel quite a lot, I have been getting wonderful feed back about my products and sometimes my lunch sessions turn into discussions with my work mates about how to get my business noticed by the world.

It has been a while since I last posted, so thought I would add a bit more content to my pilot's log. I have been putting updates on the website, but I might as well add the odd update in this place as well.
