Life can be strange

Isnt life strange!

12 months ago a looked at setting up and selling Printers and MFPs, these are those things that can print copy and scan and often fax as well.

I then went through a period of being so disillusioned with the Industry I have spent my life in that I descided that I wanted nothing to do with selling and so focussed on the Consultancy side.

I spent time and effort doing my business plan and doing my homework even though I had worked in the industry for some 20 years I took nothing for granted.

I have been to see and spoken to a good number of businesses now and without exception have been told the same things.

I then approached a large firm of solicitors ( I have dealt with Law firms for years) by a strange coincidence if you belive in such things ( I dont) it turns out the Executive Chairman of the Firm happens to be my much older cousin whom I havent seen for a few years.

I decide to drop out of approaching them (It felt wrong and could be perceived badly) but drop him an email to say hi.

Turns out Ian has semi retired after being an Area Director for the Biggest bank on the World and is and has been a Management Consultant for some time helping companies in Large mergers and buyouts Start Ups etc etc.

We have a very long chat on the phone and after explaining everything to him and asking "What on Earth am I missing" we talk it through.

In brief Companies want what Im offering but they want to be able to give the problem away and have a solution in full returned to them.

Because I was unwilling to supply the solution it caused problems for the client.

I came to the realisation that I had to either give up and get a job.

Or swallow my pride and accept that I needed to supply the entire solution

So I have a distributer account opened already and am awaiting 2 others.

I will be applying for a consumer credit license so I can provide Leasing and rentals on equipment.

Blackfish will be providing Print and Copy solutions to Companies Large and small

www.blackfishsolutions.com is now an online shop and cuurently has Kyocera Printers for sale but this will be grown to supply the full range inc consumables and Lexmarks full range.

My main route to market will still be face to face because I like people more than computer screens or phones.
