OK... engine tuned up nicely

My business is getting ready for Blue Peter day on 1st May... and things are going well.

Not only has my (very kind) employer allowed me to work 3 days a week from then, giving me a guaranteed income stream, but I've also been offered some work building training videos, training accountants, and training clients, by a software producer.

My recommendation for today is; always be honest and open, and work with people you know. I've kept my employer informed of my plans every step of the way and he's been a real brick. And I'd met the software producer through my work and been working with him for about a year before I decided to start up on my own, so he already knew me.

The downside of being offered this work (eh?) is that 5 days a week are now spoken for so I can't go out and market my business to other local accountants just yet. That's gone on ice and we'll see what happens in the next few months.

My website is progressing well after my mentor zapped it (grr) and should be live in the next couple of weeks.

Just wanted to say thanks for being the flyingstartups podcast interviewee this month. For any of you who haven't heard the podcast yet, M is doing a brilliant job on her startup "Ask M"and it is well worth having a listen.
