Chocks away!

It's been a while since I wrote anything here, but I think I can finally get ready to fly!

As I mentioned in my last blog, I've been offered some project work with an accounts software company down in Cornwall, to build them some training videos and help them train accountants.

I've also approached another accounts software company who have now asked me to build them some training videos. So I think my business is making a good start.

I'm now down to 3 days a week at my former employer's, doing subcontract work. That feels jolly weird. I'm not used to being able to leave early if I like, or say "no thanks" to particular pieces of work, and I'm finding it difficult to hand over some of my favourite clients to my colleagues.

Mind you, most young birds have to be shoved out of the nest by their parents before they will actually try their wings. I just have to shove myself out.

Now, where's that worm...
