I designed a letterhead for my accounting business last week. It is not much what I did, but I didn't like to give up. I wanted to use a logo from an organisation where I am a member. It took me 1 and 1/2 days to accomplish this task. It made me crazy.

In addition I wanted to design an invoice for my accounting business. It is still not done. What a shame.

No business comes in through designing letterheads. But believe me my letterhead looks very professionally now.

Yesterday I got a phone call. It was a managing director. She was looking for an accountant. She had found my website. This morning I have had already the interview. And if everything goes well, I will work for them as an accountant. It will be about 8 hours a week, but this is enough to stay cool re money. I will have time to work on my book and my export-import project.

I didn't sleep very well this night.

After my test I haven't found a productive working routine.

What I have done so far: I have written down again 10 goals. I always work with 10 goals at the same time(regarding all parts of my life). I have to make them more concrete: deadlines, quantities, next activities and so on. This could be an activity for this evening, at least I can start working on it.

Routine for this evening: to write down my activities/next steps for tomorrow.

I am happy that I made decisions today. I don't want to give up my accounting activities. That means as well, that I have to promote these activities. I can get a website within an organisation. I needed a picture, but first I went to the hairdresser. Then I went to the photografer. I was happy that I could make an appointment so quickly.

Now I have a nice haircut, hopefully nice pictures, that I can pick up tomorrow. Then I can order my first website.

I am shocked. It is already 15 days ago that I passed an important test. This time I managed everything and I am a senior accountant now. Preperation time was 3 years. I am very happy about this success, even though I see that it is a dead end road, when I want to make more money than the average people do.

I wanted to get this qualification as a security, because I thought as an accountant I will always make so much money that I can survive.

One thing I did yesterday. I contacted a man who does the same business I'd like to do - to sell journals. He is in business for a long time. I took from the conversation with him that my business idea is doable. He is concentrated on journals, too. In addition he sells an Italian luxury product. I asked him how he found costumers. He advised to go downtown to speak in person with the business owners. "Try to get an appointment. That's it. Too many people use the telephone." I am happy that I got this valuable information. But it is also daunting. To show up in shops and make business door to door is not easy.

Another Monday, only confronted with myself.

On Saturday I prepared the salad for the cooking book where I can mention my website as well.

I found very fresh green lettuce and champignons and all the other ingridients I needed.
I took the first picture from the lettuce, champignons, onion and so on as I bought it.
I took the second picture from the finished salad on a white plate, background was read with a white napkin on the right side of the plate and a baguette. As I am not a food photographer it was not so easy and I am not sure if the results are really good.

Yesterday I wrote to 3 suppliers. I asked for prices, delivery conditions, on-line pictures. I already received the first answer. I think the problem that I want to sell something and I don't have products is solved.

I also examined some catalogues and websites. I saw so nice products that I again think why concentrate on journals. I am very close to buy also goods like jewellry travel bags, boxes for pens ans so on. If this is a good strategy, I don't know. The question is if this is a strategy at all.

I have piles of goods (blankets, bags), that I don't like to sell anymore. It became clearer to me by the time that I want to concentrate on journals. I cannot sell everything. But last year I thought I have to make a decision. So I ordered goods, just to have something.

I want to sell journals, but till now I do not have journals. My first Indian supplier (which I met in person already twice) had sent samples. I asked for the prices. One price for an album was a moon price. I haven't heard anything from him so far. Yesterday I picked up the pictures from the photografer. My blankets and the journals, where I don't know the prices are on it. The pictures are nice. But they are only for a very short use, when I'm not able to order those journals for a reasonable price.
