The Business Plan

It's almost taken me forever but I think I may have almost finished our business plan ... almost. I started writing it at the end of last year/beginning of this but as usual got sidetracked so it's been sitting neglected for a few months. Last weekend I gave myself a kick up the backside and got it out again. Decided to stop making so much fuss about the darn thing and just write it. So I've been redrafting and simplifying each section.

The result it quite short - is ten pages too short for a business plan? I made an executive decision to keep it short and sweet. But who wants to read a great long document anyway? I think that it's pretty focused. My partner is going to read it through tomorrow so that will mean some further refinement.

Monday we've got a meeting with a Business Link advisor. We've got an advisor coming to Penzance which is virtually unheard of! They certainly never seem to have any courses any closer than Bodmin and then only the 'thinking about starting a business' ones which we're way past. Have to say I've not heard great things about Business Link but didn't want to miss out on an opportunity - you never know they may be able to help us... Will see how it goes.
