Hey everyone!

Especially you Sparks, after your horrid experience with help (I think I know that guy you hired, and about fifty of his brothers..... or perhaps it's just a virus they've all got)

I've had really good results so far with a site I heard about, studentgems, it's new, and you can put a job up for grabs (advice, work, temp stuff, typing, whatever) get a really good rate and some decent work too. I'm well impressed so far, got quality help, saved loads and learned lots. Thought I'd share the info.

I'm beginning to detest packaging companies. Well, it's obviously not all them, it's gotta be me asking the wrong questions, using the wrong technical terms, asking the wrong people for the wrong info, some darn thing.

All I know is, when I get myself off the ground I'm not going to let anyone ever touch a phone unless they're interested in actually helping the customer and making a sale, even if, and I want to make this perfectly clear, even if they don't do the industry jargon and have to have some things explained to them..

Stuff it. I've ordered all the packaging publications. I'll study it up for a couple of days. Really cannot afford to hire specialists if I don't have to, my budget is pathetic. But you'd think people would be wanting to take my money, wouldn't you? All I need is some good quality sample packs, including POS display, I know I'll have to pay way over the odds because of the small quantity, I know that, no problem, I also need future figures for when I've sold on the strength of the samples and want to order proper quantity, so I'll know how much they'll cost each and I can do efficient pricing. Seems simple enough to me.

If I knew the packspeak lingo and asked for fifty jeezbegorrahs, full kibblewet, firttle closure, seventy eight doodleweight tattle, sebbnut base, with a quote for thirty thou I'd likely be okay.

It's unfortunate it wasn't in the curriculum when I went to school (shortly before the invention of the wheel).

The only people who've agreed that they could do it so far, wanted to charge me £1.30 per unit if I bought in bulk. For what is basically one paper bag! Now, that just isn't going to happen.
