End of my holiday

Well today is officially the last day of my holiday. Very proud of myself, I actually managed to go most of the week without doing any work or even checking my emails. Caved in yesterday and sorted my emails (all 300 of them) and have been doing some prep work today ready for getting back into it - I'm glad I've done that because I've now got a clear idea of what I need to do tomorrow. Plan to work as effectively as possible!

Apart from Bank Holiday Monday being a complete wash-out (found it a bit depressing being stuck in the house right at the beginning of our holiday) we've had some glorious weather. Managed a walk from Penzance to Mousehole (and back) on Tuesday which was great fun ... especially the occasional pint along the way.

So now I'm all set for work tomorrow - refreshed from having a week off and mentally prepared for what needs doing. Just a bit nervous about the size of the workload, but I've done some careful prioritisation so hopefully will be able to stay on top of things.

300!

You have my sympathy. Backed up e-mail is nearly as bad as forms to be filled in. Don't know which is worse, they both generate more of themselves whatever you do!

Anne.

Emails

Thanks Anne. Actually, it wasn't too bad - most of them could be safely deleted, just a couple of alarming ones in there. It seems that even though we emailed all our clients to let them know that we were taking a break, some of them didn't quite take it on board.

Forms ... eek! I really don't like filling out forms. Got this stupid fear that the world will come to an end if I get something wrong. Silly really.
