Concepts Academy

I've been thinking about doing tests for electricians at interviews to see if they are right for my company, ie see if they can actually find faults on a made up circuit on a board and answer questions about customer service etc. etc.

Then I read that Charlie Mullins - the director from Pimlico Plumbers is looking to set up a plumbing academy, So I've now taken that idea and want to start up my own Electrical academy, the idea so far is that it would be a Charity not for profit organisation and take kids who really want to get into electrics, who really have a passion to be the best and train them up not only in electrics but in financial understanding personally and in business, teach them business principals such as customer service and management and also personal development.
We would teach them and encourage them to be the best they can.

At the end of the course they will go out with a supervisor and for free rewire houses of people that can't afford it.
We would hopefully get funding from government and also because they would be the best we would charge companies who want to take them on an 'Agency fee', They would be an asset to any company.
I was also thinking that the best in class may get an Electrical concepts license to trade as Electrical Concepts!

This is my plan and I will have this established within 10 years.

What an utterly brilliant idea! Love it! Do it! Anne

Just doing it!

Cheers Anne,
I will, Philanthropy is my new middle name.

I'm getting such a buzz just thinking about how it's going to run, and that it will bring about a new breed of trades person!
