Infrastructure..........oh infrastructure!!
Wow - how fast things are working now not we are out selling the business.
I now have a fairly good pipeline for the recruitment business and a few contracts about to start on the consultancy side. One of the biggest risks to my business in the fact. I have a fairly large monthly bills list - this means that I have to bring in a substantial return each month. But focus and enthusiasm will get over this risk. My second risk is that I need to ensure that people answer the phone and take messages for every call that comes into SC.
I am going to use some of the business services available to me - I have found that these services are not that expensive and allow me to grow my brand when I am out delivering services, after all I can not only sell them - the delivery model is just as important. I can see that planning six month in advance is key. I hope that I will be neediong staff in the next 6 months - this will enable me to then get back to selling the values and advantages of SC.
I am also keen to find out about exchange shared services – I have e mailed the company mentioned in the book – cobweb – I am waiting for them to contact me. Does anybody else have any ideas or contacts – please drop me a line if you have.
I am now looking at partners - I am interested in setting relationships with other business to business suppliers. I want to be able to offer and sell services that will bring value to any business – but I am mainly in the IT business for now - an example CV validation services - it compliments my business but is not in direct competition.
