Its now or never......................

I was convinced that I was an entrepreneur - and then this week happened. Nobody said it was going to be easy - and boy have I had a lesson in not easy during the last few weeks.

I have now been thrown into focusing on this business. The marketing plan has resulted in my head being put right above the parapet - meaning that I have had to resign from my day job!! Wow I had planned for this to happen - but not just yet. I left the day job this week - I am now the director, cleaner, secretary, appointment maker, sales manager, account manager and office junior of Scarecrow Consulting. I do have some great mentors and a great infrastructure behind me - so I very happy that this may work out - its the rest of the family that seem to be worrying more about the bills than I am - I keep telling them that little acorns turn into oaks and all that - but its not working!!! Lets hope the book works Steve – lol!!

All joking but the book has been a good baseline tool for me and helps point me in the right direction sometimes – do not follow it page for page – some of this journey should be driven my instinct and desire – not by somebody else’s words.

I now need to focus on the contracts and need to start to generate company cash and get myself set up as an employee. I am loving the freedom of searching databases at 4 am and researching other businesses at 12 midnight. I do not want to turn into a guy that lunches - but if I want to switch on the box for 30 minutes and have a cup of tea I can - now that is great!!

I was watching dragons den last night - no inspiration seeing them rip off new companies just because they can......but if anybody would like to chuck £25,000 my way for 2% I may consider it - lol.

Well that’s this week’s therapy over - back to work - searches to do.

If you need good services professionals don't foget…………….

gaining publicity by being mean

Hello Gary,

Way to go with your giant steps! Just keep moving forward, my friend. There will be days (and sometimes weeks) when you might even be questioning why you are doing such a crazy thing, like starting a business. It isn't easy sometimes, especially during those moments when it feels like other people are losing faith in your idea.

As for the dragon's den, if I ever went on the show (which I will never do!) I would probably be crying from fear before I even entered the room. It seems like lots of people get burned on that show, as well as exposing great ideas for others to possibly profit from later. Plus, there is one particular dragon that I find just downright mean.

Here's to watching trees grow...
