Expanding

I feel like I have been MIA for quite some time now. Thought it only proper to give a tiny update on the latest developments of Gee How Quaint and my life as it tries to comfortably fit around it.
Right oh, on the personal side of things, I have found a part time job that is practically perfect in everyway. Honestly, I can't even tell you how jazzed I am about this development. It was a gutting realisation to find out that I needed a bit of cash on the side (mostly due to house renovations), so it was off to interviews and all the fun that entails. I did strike it lucky, as I now work two days a week for a huge, gigantic travel company. And oh yes, I have been cheeky enough to list my business on the email bulletin board. I think that was a slick move, as my site received three times the amount of hits from that simple action. Because most of the staff travel quite a lot, I have been getting wonderful feed back about my products and sometimes my lunch sessions turn into discussions with my work mates about how to get my business noticed by the world.
In other news...I have made the decision to expand the vision of Gee How Quaint. I want to still focus on travel accessories, but am now embracing the bigger picture of travelling.... more like a "as you travel through life" feel, if you know what I mean.
Along with this adjustment, I will be bringing in more products that I have been sourcing for the past several weeks. Along with updating my website photos, the site will definately have a slightly bigger and better feel to it.
What else...what else...shopping parties. This weekend I am having a shopping party "with a difference." I want to treat the girls to something fun and delicious and have therefore hired my beauty therapist friend to do 10 min massages on my guests. The evening will begin with a champagne reception, a little chat from me, massages (hand, neck and head) from my friend, questions, purchasing, and a nifty little survey (market research...for free, in my own home, how rad!).
So, yes, lots is going on. Things are becoming very busy and very fun. Thank God for Christmas!

Welcome back Cassandra

Great to hear Gee How Quaint is going strong, those parties sound like great fun. I'm glad to hear you have a job that can work alongside your business. Keep us posted how you get on.

All the best,

Parteeee!

Hi Cassandra,

Great to hear your news - and good luck with the party! That's a great way to sell your stuff.

It'll be interesting to find out about your new products - but remember to keep focussed!

cheers

Focus

Don't you worry your pretty little head, Steve. My focus will always be the bags, the bags, the bags. In fact, I got loads of ideas from the girls that attended the shopping party for future accessories. It's all a bit hush-hush at the moment as I want to dazzle the world with more finished products before shooting off my mouth. Which is difficult. Because I am really excited.

Update on the shopping parteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. It was fab! We had champagne with strawberries fizzing away in the glasses, the beauty therapist worked her magic and my guests seemed in la-la happy land as they had their necks and shoulders massaged. And sales....oh my giddy aunt Martha. I am currently having a lovely small crisis at the moment trying to build up my stock again. At the end of the party, I gave out a survey of 10 questions, asking for complete honesty and I am really happy with the results. I now have a better idea of which way to go, when before I had a generally good idea, if you know what I mean.

Stu, so good to hear from you. I can imagine that you are spectacularly busy with your business as well, taking those bazillion photos and what-not.

Invaluable feedback

Hi Cassandra,
Really exited for you that your party went so well! Love the idea as well of asking for proper feedback.
So, booze AND pampering. What joy!
Will you get your new products out before Christmas?

By Christmastime

Anna,

Well, I have been working like a little mad thing trying to get the new products out before Christmas. I have just added a Krisis Kit to my range, which I think compliments my products very beautifully. One bag is still in the design stages, and I think this particular one is going to be as individual and unique as the swimbag. Don't want to let the cat out of the bag yet, as I think it too can be registered at the patent office.
Also, at my parties and markets I sell hand printed hoodies and t-shirts that are quite popular. During the next few weeks I will be improving my website photos and adding the tops. So, lots of good additions are ahead.

Cheerio!
