A Champagne Moment - well hopefully!
Well, it is Sunday Morning and I am back at the computer, although the ironing board (mostly used for ironing fabric for the business rather than clothes) and the sewing scissors are out and have already been in use.
However, my news is not to say 'Hey, it is Sunday morning and I'm doing things' - it is to write about a letter I received yesterday. We have been asked for quotes on LARGE numbers of our lavender bags for a conference next August. So I spent last night with my calculator working out prices that still respected our wares as top quality items while still wanting to sound competitive... not an easy task! However, John and I have finally thrashed out some figures and I will be writing the letter this afternoon. AAAArrrrgh, why is it a Bank Holiday I want it to go in the post tomorrow morning!!!
O.K. so we might not get this order but whether we do or not (fingers crossed everyone please) I still feel it is a champagne moment rather than a 'Shiraz' moment, because it shows that people really do like what we do -we came highly recommended to this organisation by a customer.
So it is bye for now and back to the ironing board...

p.s. Many thanks to Steve for inviting me to be on the second Podcast - I have only now been brave enough to listen to myself. I was sooooo nervous!

Hi Ruth
Congratulations on your really big enquiry!!! Lets hope that it turns out to be a really good sale!
Thank you very, very much for taking part in the podcast. You were brilliant! So much good advice on selling and keeping at it. Really interesting (I was there listening in the studio, but had to keep quiet until it was my turn at the end ;) )
Thanks again and good luck!

Keeping my Fingers crossed
Congratulations, Ruth & John.
I think it is safe to crack open the champagne.
Whatever the outcome, this enquiry is proof of your hard work and determination and obviuosly your products are speaking for themselves with you being recommended and all.
So good luck, I have my fingers firmly crossed. All the best.

Hi Ruth
That's fantastic! Fingers crossed that you get the job, but even if you don't it means a lot that you've been asked. I'm hoping to find a moment to listen to the podcast later.
Best wishes
Emily
