It's a web-based service, offering reminders, contact database, email log of contacts, and "cases" which are records of projects undertaken with contacts. Sounds a good fit for you.

I've used it for a little while and been happy. I only stopped when I needed more traditional CRM-like features.

Thats something i'm looking into at the moment, and there are so many options, so personally i'm going to be talking to a CRM consultant from BNI, what i want is not complicated but quite in depth

and several online ones but i was put off by those for the same reason you were
I also looked into Filemaker Pro which allows you to design your own database which would be the perfect option because then it would do what i wanted it to do aswell as look and feel as i wanted it to!
But then i'd have to spend a lot of time learning how to use it!

I want to be able to manage jobs and customer data and eliminate double or even trippple entry along with writing things down!!!!

Hope some of this helps, although it now means adding more stuff to the to do list.
