Too much competition?
I will start a company in civil engineer services, and I have found a great competition in this services. Because many people are doing the same and half of them work part time the prices are not fair. I am feeling a bit frustrated because I do not know how I can compete with this people, and what it would be my unique selling point in order to pursue the rest of my business planning. I know I have to be persistent and do not give up. I hope someone can help me.

Sometimes you can find something that also makes money that you can sell to the same people who buy your core service. It could be that the add-ons, if you can think of one, might actually end up making your more money than the thing that you originally set out to do.

I think you're right. I am actually offering my main service of web hosting fairly cheap, so that once customers have seen how I work, they will want me to help them design sites and provide other 'related' services.
I don't know how this can apply to the civil services industry, but I'm sure there are ways to do it.
