Market Research
HI, I am currently researching a new business idea but am finding it hard to obtain cold hard facts about the sector I want to operate in - baby and childrens retailing. I have logged onto a site called Mintel which produce great reports but they cost the earth to buy, does anyone know where I can find this type of information for free or next to nothing?
Thanks

How about getting Mothercares Annual report? Im assuming they are a listed Company or their parent Company is.
If you phone their headoffice they will send you their annual report.
This will usually give you a break down of the market they work in.
Also the DTI (Department of Trade and Industry have huge amounts of info available
Also your local chamber of commerce.
Hope thats some help
Kind Regards

Thanks, why didn't I think of that? Both ideas are a good start and will probably give me enough info or at least point me in the right direction.
