Hello all,

Last night I came across the books in the library, thank the heavens, as I am in the thought process of opening an art supply store.

I am in South Africa and where I am situated there are lots and lots of local artists, but there is no really professional art supply store, with choices, options and innovative idea's.

I am quite daunted by the idea of not selling enough product monthly to cover the overheads. I have a few marketing idea's and I want to be able to offer services that no other art supply store offers... I have a few idea's here too.

Does anyone have any advice/motivations for me... when I look at the figures I am a bit lost and I am not too sure how it will work out in the first year, but I do know that over time it will be successful, as are all the shops that open in this area.

I just keep thinking that so many other people do it, why can't I. Surely not every business started with a lot of capital and no debt to the banks.
