Hi Susie

I know already that I am not being helpful here - I just wanted to say I love your idea!! I use Ecover products all the time because they are more environmentally friendly then the rest. I find it difficult to find alternatives in the UK, and I think you might well be on to a winner here! Where I'm from (Sweden) the swan symbol that is used to indicate environmentally friendly products is really well known, and has been for ages. I just did a search for their details on the web. The website is www.svanen.nu and there is the option to read the text in English. They have very cleverly put all the contact details of all the companies that have been approved on the site. (Browse under Swan criteria and search criteria...) Perhaps one of them will sell to you, or can guide you further. If they don't let you repackage, then perhaps you could be the UK agent. I don't know how non-toxic the stuff has to be to be swan approved, but I am sure the site will tell you. Good luck

Hello Anna, many thanks for your comments and advice. Yes, Ecover is well known but very limited in quality and range, so have been investigating this for a while. I would love to create a range myself, but the costs would be enormous!!!! ( one day...)

I will search the site you suggested and hopefully will make some headway with this.

Lots of ideas for you Susie

You've asked in the right place. I am the eco-queen!

I mail order my eco-friendly cleaning products from Faith in Nature http://www.faithinnature.com/. Their 'Clear Spring' branded cleaning stuff is absolutely first class and I'm a raving fan. I order dishwasher gel, washing up liquid etc in the big 5 litre containers and decant them into smaller containers for use (now how eco-friendly is that!). I also buy their shampoos, conditioners and soap etc - they are fab.

Others I like are: www.ecos.com - their parsley cleaner is yummy and very effective.

Both the above product ranges contain no Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, or SLS (still very common, even is some supposedly eco-friendly products - I think the Body Shop has finally stopped using it).

Other places you might want to check out for eco-friendly suppliers are those stocked by Natural Collection (www.naturalcollection.com). They stock both Faith in Nature and Ecos products, and some others too. I've bought a few cleaning type things from them that have been pretty good.

Any more questions, don't hesitate to ask - it's taken me years to find the best eco-friendly stuff and very happy to share!
