Hi Everyone,

This is the first time I've posted here, and I've been reading a little about what people have been doing. I've been working on an idea for a computer retail business, selling high quality Linux compatible PCs and servers. This is quite a specialist market, so I don't expect everyone to know much about it, but I'd appreciate their feedback all the same!

I am starting off with a a few models, designed for home users and small business, and I hope to branch out into server designs. I am currently working part time as well, so unfortunately I don't have much time to offer in the services/contracting side, which is probably much more profitable. However, I hope to be able to offer more services in the future when I have some experience of running a company, and am making some income from sales. I have lots of marketable experience in the enterprise IT area, working with large servers and applications on different platforms.

I'm in the process of setting up a website, and have a few models up there. I'd love some feedback on the general idea, and what people think.

The slogan is 'Marvin - PCs have evolved'. I'm offering Linux or Windows PCs, and focussing on high quality, beautiful systems, in a mind for competing with the Mac sort of market, but generally the more tech savvy users to start with.

Anyway, the website is www.marvincomputers.co.uk. It's not launched yet, so you'll need a password to get on - it's 'testing'. Let me know what you think of the site and ideas, criticism is gladly received :) It's still a work in progress, so they'll be some changes to the design, frontpage and so on over the next couple of weeks.

Sorry, you can't buy anything on their just yet :)

Thanks very much,

Chris
