Hello KMC

Well first impressions are I like the site. It does need more items but these can be built up over time.

My main concern would be the site is sitting to the left of the page. I am currently building a store site using Zen cart. At this stage I’m not prepared to invest heavily in software for the build so it looks very basic compared to your template. I would if possible ask your web designer to align it in the middle though. If you look at most carts and sites that are of similar size to your then they are in the middle of the page. I can get you some examples if you need them.

OK some people like to be different and there is nothing wrong with that but if it makes you look so different that maybe its broken or not set up right then it could reflect badly.

Do you also own the .com name as well? I know .com is American but most people I believe are in the habit of typing .com so it would be useful to have this as well. Someone owns it hopefully that’s you.

To help promote the site and sell at the same time if you have not already done so think about setting up a Ebay store. Your be able to list items on there and if you register with you name and put a link to your site people should be able to then add you to their favourites and use you at Christmas and things.

Please don’t think I’m putting a downer on things but the name is also hard to spell and remember. I’m going to write and introduction post in a moment about myself but briefly now I cant spell very well and I doubt I could remember how to spell your site.

Another way to help you get high in the search engine rankings is to have lots of people linking to you. By putting your site on this forum is a great start. Also have a think about putting ads on the free ads web sites like Gumtree. They can be great for getting business your way and they are free.

Just a quick note on the domain name question. The company I use to register domain names offers free web forwarding. I would bring this up with your web designer because they really shouldn't be making money out of such a simple service. Did you register your domain yourself or did your web designer do it for you?

PS I agree on the alignment of the website. It drives us mad that the BBC is aligned to the left - centred always looks better in my opinion.

I haven't had much experience with Go Daddy myself but a quick look at their site suggests that they do offer that service. They list 'Domain Forwarding & Masking' as one of the 'free extras with every domain name'. It's domain forwarding that you need I think. If you log into your account you'll probably find that given as an option.
