paralysis
Hi,
I think this might be a question that many people might deal with in some way. I was wondering if anybody could direct me or give some solid advice as to what I can do to help my situation. I have great ideas that have commercial feasibility but just cant seem to commit to any. I may have 2-4 great executable ideas at any given time and will go through and research as much as I can about the business only to abandon the idea or decide to put it away for another time. I have heard all the cliches "do what you love", "do what you know", "do what interests you", "find out your talents skills" etc. Is this just a case of throwing a dart or having faith. How have others commited to an idea or business?

it happens to me alot... almost with every idea i have. i just can seem to start the first step in making it work and i dunno why...i search i compare prices and products, i ask for close ppls opinions...etc i do the whole thing, but when it comes to actually and really starting... i dunno wut happens to me.
GO FOR IT! bite that bullet and see what happens, look at it this way if your first attempt doesn't go the way you want it to, you have many other ideas to try.
Going into business when you're not sure is asking for trouble because you'll always look back and think you shouldn't have jumped into it and whichever idea you choose, if you're having a bad day you'll wish you'd chosen one of the others. It might be the fact that you have so many different ideas that's holding you back - maybe none of them feel like "the one"
Are your ideas totally different or do they have a theme that perhaps you could explore further and find your particular niche? Are any of the ideas things that you could start on in a really small way to minimise your risks. There's nothing like getting started to help you build momentum. Start small finish big (forgotten the name of the Author)
Even if things don't work out - you need to feel that it's 100% the right thing to do at the time otherwise you won't have enough in the tank to keep going on the rough days. If it makes you feel any better I'm the opposite - I keep launching off starting half baked schemes when I should just sit on my hands and wait a bit longer. It's expensive and time consuming, your way is much safer and the fact that you spend so much time coming up with these ideas means that you're definitely going to do it, and when you do, because you put in the time to research things thoroughly first it's bound to be a success.
Good luck

I would suggest that if you havent gone ahead with any then your not that commited to any.
I have loads of ideas all the time much like most other on here I would guess.
The thing is theres a huge difference between having an idea and having the ability to make it become a reality.
So if it will cost you money make sure your commited if not then why not put your toe in the water.
