This week is all about understanding what it really is that you want from life. Before you can go off and do exciting things like starting a business you need to know what you're aiming for - or you could be striding very purposefully in completely the wrong direction!

Daydreaming

To start to work out all these big questions about life, the universe and everything, you need to spend some time daydreaming about what you would like your life to be like in, say, 5 years.

The Noticeboard

The book, 'Start Your Business Week by Week', suggests putting a cork noticeboard on the wall and filling it with a vision of your life in 5 years to help you picture the future more clearly.

Things you can put on your noticeboard include:
+ Clippings from magazines of houses, cars, holidays etc.
+ A photocopy of your bank statement with the figures changed to be what they will be in 5 years.

The book has many more ideas of things to put on your noticeboard to help you visualise your life in the future.

Have a meeting with yourself!

At the end of this week you should set aside some time to have a formal meeting with yourself (and, if appropriate, your husband/wife or other partner).
You'll find a template for the agenda for this meeting below (Document )1 - only visible to logged in users), suggesting some of the things you could decide.
