Emma: Week 6
Now I have my idea I need to work out how best to communicate it to the outside world.
I started by doing one side of A4 describing my plans for the business, what it will do, who will buy and why they will buy. That document is attached.
I had to rewrite that a few times before I was really happy with it. Then I had to boil those ideas down to just a paragraph! Here's what I wrote:
Leeds has a thriving financial services sector, bringing a lot of highly paid professionals to the city centre during the day. many of these people are health conscious and are members of a gym or are following a diet, but at lunch they don't get a proper, nutritious, light meal - they end up eating fast food, or even nothing. My business will provide them with convenient, fast, healthy and tasty food. Our variety, quality and service will allow us to command a premium price.
Then I had to write just one sentence!!!
My business will provide busy office workers with a healthy alternative for a fast, tasty lunch.
And i managed to get it to be even shorter!
Fast, healthy lunches for busy people.
There's nothing I can patent about my idea, so now I can tell the world! I'm going to go and get lots of feedback from people and will post it here soon!

In week 6 we should be able to view Emma's A4 document, but I cannot find it anywhere on this site. Could someone please point me in the right direction
Yes, sorry - the site has been undergoing a major upgrade, and the document bit is currently being worked on.
Documents will be back very soon!

Hi Steve,
I have noticed that you should have some italic text in the text above and the Italics tags should be and rather than the square brackets.
If your sorting the website ou this may help.

I have found the site to be really slow in loading pages the last few weeks - is it only me?
I am aware there was an upgrade - apart from that the site is still fantastic - just takes an age to upload and download.

I am also finding the site is very slow to load - more than 20 seconds to load a page.
I haven't been able to find Emma's attachment for week 6, either.

Just to add to my previous comment - when I land on http://www.flyingstartups.com/books/start_your_business_week_by_week/week_06_take_your_idea_to_the_world I get the following error message "A search was performed for "mediastore steve main", but nothing was found. Please use the form below to search all of our site content." displayed at the top of the page - is this relevant to the missing attachment?

Hello, I too have just got the above error message and I agree with other posts that the site is very very slow, just took an age to log in.
Would really like to read Emma's A4 page, the reason why I have logged on was to print in and read it.
Can it not be emailed to people who request it, whilst the site is updated???
